For the 2025/2026 academic session, DELSU devised a new admission system for student to gain admission into the department of Animal sciences.

DELSU has completely changed their admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session. Instead of using your JAMB score + POST UTME aggregate to give you admission, your admission would be processed using your JAMB score + O’ Level grades.

You need these subjects for Animal Sciences aggregate calculation:

1. JAMB Subjects: English Language, Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, and Geography/Economics/Physics/Mathematics
2. O’Level Subjects: English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Biology or Agricultural Science, along with any other approved subject, such as Geography or Economics.

How to Calculate Your DELSU Aggregate

DELSU has introduced a new admission system for the 2025/2026 academic session which comprises of your JAMB score (70%) and WAEC/NECO (30%).

To calculate this, divide your JAMB score by 400, then multiply the result by 70. For example, if you scored 190 in JAMB: 190 ÷ 400 = 0.475, then 0.475 × 70 = 33.25. Your JAMB aggregate is 33.25 out of 70 possible points.

Step 2 – Calculate Your O’Level Component

Your O’Level results contribute 30% to your aggregate based on a points system for grade

WAEC/NECO/GCE Points Breakdown

The calculation includes five topics: your four core JAMB subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English), as well as one additional applicable subject such as Geography or Economics. Simply add the points for these five subjects to acquire your O’Level component, which has a maximum of 30 points.
