How to Calculate Your DELSU Aggregate
DELSU has changed their admission process for the 2025/2026 academic session. Previous they used JAMB score (60%) and WAEC/NECO & GCE (40%) but now its JAMB score(70%) and WAEC/NECO (30%).
This means no more Post UTME examinations, so you would save your self the stressed of travelling to Delta State, Abraka precisely to write the exams.
Note: Your JAMB score now covers 70% of your admission and the WAEC/NECO 30%.
Step 1 – Calculate Your JAMB Component
Your JAMB score contributes 70% to your total aggregate using this formula: (Your JAMB Score ÷ 400) × 70.
To calculate this, divide your JAMB score by 400, then multiply the result by 70. For example, if you scored 200 in JAMB: 250 ÷ 400 = 0.625, then 0.625 × 70 = 43.75. Your JAMB aggregate is 43.75 out of 70 possible points.
| JAMB Score | Aggregate Points |
| 400 | 70.00 |
| 350 | 61.25 |
| 300 | 52.50 |
| 250 | 43.75 |
| 200 | 35.00 |
Step 2 – Calculate Your O’Level Component
Your O’Level results contribute 30% to your aggregate based on a points system for grade
WAEC/NECO/GCE Points Breakdown
| Grade | Points |
|---|---|
| A1 | 6 |
| B2 | 5 |
| B3 | 4 |
| C4 | 3 |
| C5 | 2 |
| C6 | 1 |
The calculation uses five subjects: your four core JAMB subjects (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English) plus one additional relevant subject like Further Mathematics or Economics. Simply add up the points for these five subjects to get your O’Level component, with a maximum of 30 points possible.

Complete Calculation Example
Here’s how to put everything together using a real example.
Student Profile: JAMB Score: 250, O’Level Results: A1, B2, C4, C5, C6
JAMB Calculation: 200 ÷ 400 = 0.625, then 0.625 × 70 = 43.75 points
O’Level Calculation: A1 (6) + B2 (5) + C4 (3) + C5 (2) + C6 (1) = 17 points
Final Aggregate: 43.75 + 17 = 60.75 out of 100
This student’s aggregate score is 60.75, which will be compared against the departmental cut-off when released.
