Hamplus Technologies marks its fifth anniversary, celebrating five years of sustained contribution to digital innovation, capacity development, and technological advancement. Since its establishment, Hamplus has remained committed to promoting digital literacy, practical skill acquisition, and innovation through structured programs and community-focused initiatives.
One of Hamplus’ notable academic and capacity-building interventions is the DELSU Tech Invasion (DTI), which marks its third year of impact. Conceived as a strategic program targeted at students of Delta State University (DELSU), DTI was designed to complement formal academic learning by providing practical exposure to contemporary digital tools, emerging technologies, and industry-relevant skills.
Over the past three years, DELSU Tech Invasion has functioned as a structured platform for knowledge transfer, mentorship, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Through seminars, workshops, and hands-on training sessions, the program has enhanced participants’ technical competence while fostering critical thinking, innovation, and professional development. DTI continues to contribute meaningfully to bridging the gap between theoretical instruction and real-world technological application within the university environment.
In addition to DELSU Tech Invasion, Hamplus had planned to host a Hackathon in 2025 as a separate innovation-driven program aimed at encouraging problem-solving, creativity, and collaborative software development. The hackathon was structured to provide a competitive yet educational environment in which participants could develop technology-based solutions to real societal and institutional challenges.
However, despite extensive planning and stakeholder interest, the hackathon could not be implemented this year due to funding limitations. While this constraint affected its execution, it has not diminished Hamplus’ commitment to innovation-led programming. Rather, it highlights the critical role of institutional partnerships, sponsorship, and sustainable funding in the successful delivery of large-scale academic and technological initiatives.
As Hamplus commemorates five years of institutional growth and three years of DELSU Tech Invasion, the organization reaffirms its dedication to advancing digital capacity, supporting academic enrichment, and fostering innovation within higher education and the broader technology ecosystem. Future plans remain focused on strengthening existing programs and implementing new initiatives that align with Hamplus’ long-term vision of sustainable technological development.
